Elizabeth Reaser Names Her Top 5 Favorite Eclipse Moments

Cullen Mommy Elizabeth Reaser sat down with PopWatch to talk about her 5 favorite moments from filming Eclipse:

The actress, who plays Cullen matriarch Esme, had yet to see much footage from the final product at the time of our chat, but if her instincts translate well onscreen, she said she’s going to be one badass mom. “Esme’s the most loving character in the whole series, in my opinion, but — pardon my French — if you f— with one of Esme’s children, you are going down,” she said, laughing. “…That stuff can so quickly turn into Saturday Night Live if you’re not doing it well. Hopefully, we pulled it off.”

Read on for five of Reaser’s favorite moments filming Eclipse.

“I enjoyed the stuff with Bree [Jodelle Ferland] and Dakota [Fanning]. Dakota is really scary in this movie [laughs]. She’s so unsettling because she has that angelic face, and she’s so terrifying. I mean, genuinely. It was impressive. Her character intimidated our characters so genuinely, which is great as an actor, to watch a 15-year-old come up and scare the s–t out of you. We were genuinely scared.”

“There was an action scene I did with Peter [Facinelli] where we were in a battle. We fight together — because we’re a team and he’s so protective he wouldn’t let me fight by myself — it’s pretty intense. We both do some intensely violent things, which was pretty scary. And I didn’t enjoy that stuff. I realized I don’t like pretending to hit people because it kind of makes me feel bad, like what if I hit them [for real]? What if I get nervous? And so the director was like, ‘You’re not getting mad.’ He tried to piss me off and it worked. [Laughs] He started yelling things at me off-camera to genuinely make me mad. So then I got really mad and he was like, ‘Yea!’ It was a weird thing but a great tactic on his part.”

“I like all the stuff in the house. They re-created the house we shot in back in Portland. I mean, they built the entire house. It was amazing. Every detail was exactly the same. So I really liked those scenes where we were all sitting around, trying to make decisions, and being a family. It’s what you want a family to be, and that’s part of what appeals to me about these books and characters. They’ve chosen their family and chosen to be together — none of us are actually related. So there’s something about all of us being together that’s so nice.”

“Bryce [Dallas Howard] and Xavier [Samuel] have a scene on the bridge. I remember Nikki [Reed] and I were on set for a hair test, and we went down to set to check it out, and it was beautiful and sexy. I’m excited to see it.”

“There was a really cool scene where we meet with the wolves. It’s a complicated thing we’re trying to do; we’re trying to team up with them to defeat the Newborns and save our way of life and save our family. So we collaborate with them, and it’s not easy. So we have this first meeting with them, and what’s funny about it is that they’re not wolves in real life. So they had these cardboard cutout wolves for us for our eye line — because you know they go in there and build the wolves later with CGI. So we were doing these really intense, serious scenes with these hilarious cardboard cutout wolves in the middle of this big forest. It was so surreal. I kind of wish we just shot it with those wolves. I think it would have been really interesting. [Laughs]“

Kristen Stewart Talks About Kissing Taylor Lautner, Having "The Talk" & More!

Kristen Stewart takes one more step toward immortality in "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse." She's put her own stamp on Bella, who's determined to take a walk down the aisle and spend eternity with her vampire lover Edward, played by Robert Pattinson.

Stewart told Parade.com's Jeanne Wolf that, just like her character, she's grown a lot since "Twilight" became a cultural phenomenon. But some things haven't changed.

Honesty is the best policy, no matter what.
"I've always said that I'm not ashamed of anything that I say because I'm always being honest, even though you can definitely make mistakes. That's Bella in a nutshell, so I can completely relate to her. I think it's a good thing to be proud of who you are, no matter what. Success is always something completely different for different people. I feel like I've succeeded if I'm doing something that makes me happy and I'm not lying to anybody. That's why I feel really good about myself right now."

Kissing him onscreen wasn't the problem.
"One of the most challenging scenes was probably finally kissing Jacob for the first time. Bella has got such tunnel vision that Edward is the only thing for her. That's a strange perspective. So when Taylor Lautner and I kissed, it felt like such a different dynamic. I was nervous as hell.

Relating to Bella's dad talking about the birds and the bees.
"It was funny the way Bella got so embarrassed in that scene. I guess a lot of girls do because they probably don't need that lecture. I probably had that moment. I guess that everybody does. But I knew everything, from the word go. I was really mature, that way. So, I never really had 'the talk.' I didn't need it."

Giving in to fame.
"I've definitely relaxed because I've like sort of just relinquished control. There's nothing I can do, but [be] who I am, or whatever. It used to freak me out. I still wish I could tell myself to just like calm down. But that's it."

Looking forward to "Breaking Dawn."
"I really can't wait to get into it because I've been on the outskirts of what it would feel like to play a vampire. It's been years of dealing with these issues and I've thought about it a lot. It's going to be a trip. It's going to be weird. I think Bella is going to be the coolest blood sucker of all of them. She's got the greatest power. She's untouchable. She's impenetrable. I think it'll be awesome to see how much she's changed from 'Twilight,' where she was this 17-year-old kid who really didn't care about a whole lot. Now, she's going to become the matriarch."

Looking ahead.
"I don't really plan out my career a whole lot. My choices come from the gut. I need to have a really distinct feeling before I do a movie, and I never know what that's gonna be. So far, I've chosen really different things. I know some people think I've played a lot of disaffected teen-age girls, but that's sort of how girls are at that age. I think to play a completely mindless happy person would be mindless and fun and happy, but boring."

Press Junket Round Up and Some Fic Pimpage

Hi everyone! *waves* Well, things at MyTwilife have been...hectic. RL has been kicking both of our asses and things in Twi-land have been insane. I wasn't around to stay on top of all the press junket stuff when it first started happening, so now I'm miserably behind with no hope of catching up. However, bloggers better than myself have done a great job of getting all the interviews, pictures, and videos up, so I'll just link to them and you can watch til your heart's content. :)

Highlights to look out for: Rob talking about "glittah lube," Rob talking about the #leghitch and how it's "saucy," and Stewy giving Rob the finger at TwiTour. All good stuff.

Robert Pattinson Life has all of the MTV Rough Cut videos up. This is where he talks about the #leghitch. And here's their master post for Jimmy Kimmel Live. Funny story: a random, non-Twi, guy friend of mine just happened to text me last night and tell me that he was standing across the street from Kimmel's studios. I almost passed out. In my book, that basically makes me and Rob BFFs. #delusional.

Of course, Robsessed is great source for all things Rob and Twi related. They have tons of stuff, so I'd suggest taking and hour or 6 and watching everything they've got posted.

On a completely different subject, I'd like to take a moment to rec some stories that are pwning my ass right now. If you are under the age of 18 and click on any of these links, I will send the wolves after you. I'm serious. Otherwise, click and enjoy!

First off is @Myg's fabulous, wonderful new story Osa Bella. It's soooooooo good and well written. Here's the rundown:

"Bella is a school counselor, but Edward is posing as a student. Will Edward convince Bella to defy her head and follow her heart? Or will Bella conquer her desire and do what she believes is right?"

I highly suggest you check it out. She updates frequently and never disappoints.

I have to pimp my cupcake @Becky_Boodle's fantastic story And Then You. It features both an Edward and a Turtle that I'm quite fond of. I'm also her beta, so I can tell you with some authority that things are gonna get gooooooood. Check it out. :)

My good friend @texaskatherine has written a one-shot called Going Down? that is H.O.T. She's entered it in a contest and will be continuing it sometime in the near future. I've read bits and pieces of chapter 2 and it's so funny and unique. Don't be late to the party on this one!

Summer of Salt by @sweetlolapop is another fantastic one. It makes me wish I was 21 again. She's only got one more chapter left, so if you're looking for a completed fic, this is a great place to start. It's funny, angsty, sexy, and sunny. I love it.

And I have no shame, so I'll do a little self-pimpage now. ;) I finally started posting my story Beale Street. There's a mule, an Edward, and a cussing parrot. Can't go wrong there, can you?

If you check out any of these fantastic authors, please be sure to leave them some love. Reviews really do make our day, even if it's just a quick hello to let them know you love the story!
Hope everyone is having a fantastic Tuesday so far, and I'll try to stay on top of all the news that's fit to blog from here on out!

Oh, and P.S....I'm leaving you with this AWESOME picture that my homegirl @OhMyCarlisle took over the weekend at TwiTour. They asked Rob what his favorite movie was and he said The Runaways. Can I just say again how much I effing love Kristen Stewart? :)
