Elizabeth Reaser Talk About Rob and Taylor

“Eclipse” is certainly going to have some high-octane action scenes in it, which means that the entire cast had to train in order to get their bad-ass on for the flick. While Taylor Lautner had been hitting the gym for quite some time in order to play hunky werewolf Jacob Black, the rest of the cast hadn’t necessarily had that type of physical commitments to make to the “Twilight” franchise until the third film.

Elizabeth Reaser admits everyone had a hard time keeping up Taylor — including Robert Pattinson, who, we have to admit, doesn’t really seem like the type of guy who regularly makes it a point to pump iron.

“Well Taylor, he’s the most fit person I have ever seen in my entire life,” Elizabeth recently dished to MTV News. “Taylor doesn’t even have to train. He can stand here and do a back flip for no reason using five percent of his energy he’s so fit.”

So, how did Rob keep up? Is he secretly some sort of gym fanatic? “I don’t think so!” she laughed. “I was impressed with Rob though. This stuff is really hard to do and we trained for hours and hours and hours and he worked really hard. And he’s a great actor, so he really committed to what he was doing and it looked great from what I saw.”

LA Times Interview With The Cullens

‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ is a bloodbath for the Cullens

They must battle an army of new vampires controlled by Victoria and this time you’ll get to see their ‘true vampire-ness,’ according to actor Peter Facinelli.

By Yvonne Villarreal, The Los Angeles Times
May 2, 2010

The family that slays together, stays together.

At least that's the case for the Cullen brood.

In "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," which hits theaters June 30, Seattle is ravaged by a series of killings caused by an army of newborn vampires controlled by revenge-seeking bloodsucker Victoria. To combat the threat against Bella ( Kristen Stewart) in this third installment of the franchise, the Cullens must band together and join forces with their sworn enemies, the wolf pack.

"The whole family is in a vulnerable position because of the love we have for Bella," said Elizabeth Reaser, who plays matriarch Esme Cullen. "If she's not OK, we're not OK."

In the past, we've seen the clan hit baseballs so hard that they can play only in a thunder storm, to block out the sound. And we've watched the buttoned-up human imposters welcome Bella into their home as the human girlfriend of one of their own — the handsome Edward.

"This time around, you get to see their true vampire-ness," said Peter Facinelli, who plays head vampire Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the series based on the bestselling books by Stephenie Meyer.

What can we expect from the pale-faced Cullen family (which includes the Hale siblings) this go around? Here's what the actors say audiences can expect from the story and their characters:

Facinelli: "For me, as Carlisle, it's an exciting portion of the series. Carlisle is very compassionate and he has a lot of killing to do in this movie. I joke, after he kills the bad guys, he says he's sorry in his head. And, you know, he's calm and level-headed. He's the rock of the family. He usually has a lot of information to draw from because Alice can see into the future and Edward can read minds. In this third movie, he's not getting that information. Neither one of his sources are working, so he's kind of flying blind."

Reaser: "Esme is still a vampire. She still wants to kill people all day long. It was interesting to get in touch with the vampire side of her in ways that haven't really been explored. Her family is in danger and that brings out the mama bear in her.

Ashley Greene (as Alice Cullen): "Yeah, she's delicate and prissy at times, but Alice gets a little edgier with each installment. And with these vampires messing with her family and the people she loves, you're going to see a bit of her toughness. It's a reminder to the audience that even though we restrain ourselves at times, we're still vampires and we're dangerous. You're going to see the dark, dangerous side of Alice."

Kellan Lutz (as Emmett Cullen): "You're going to see a smile on Emmett's face from start to finish. He just loves to fight. And there's a lot of fighting. He sort of plays bigger in this one than the others."

Jackson Rathbone (as Jasper Hale): "You'll get to see a little bit of the root of what makes Jasper so withdrawn and quiet in the Cullen family. Fans will get some of Jasper's back story in ‘Eclipse.' I got to wear the whole Civil War gear and everything. There's a bit of the softer and darker side of Jasper in this film."

Nikki Reed (as Rosalie Hale): "You see a reason for her attitude. I think fans will feel for her. There was a bit of that in ‘New Moon.' Fans got to see a bit of her sensitive side. Her sane side. Her logical side. And her desire to help her family. This time around, she is much more of a participant. She's a survivor. This is her family. So if protecting Bella means protecting her family, she's going to do it."

Robert Pattinson (as Edward Cullen): Snagging a phone interview with the brooding dreamboat — who was overseas shooting his latest film, "Bel Ami" — proved difficult. So what can we expect from the lovesick Edward? He promises to love Bella "every moment of forever," as the trailer reveals. He's still hesitant about her becoming a vampire. He's determined to protect her from Victoria. And he's vying with Jacob for her affections. Oh, the life of an antique teenage vampire.

Kristen Stewart's "Musings From The Twilight Zone" {interview}

The Independent's Charlotte Cripps interviewed Kristen Stewart recently about her thoughts after winning the BAFTA Orange Rising Star Award & what her day to day life is like since Twilight:

Before the first Twilight movie in 2008, I was a much more open person. Now I spend a lot of time looking at the floor in public in an attempt not to get noticed. It can get a little boring. But whatever sacrifices I've had to make as a rising star, my job makes up for it a hundredfold.

I won the Orange Rising Star Award at the Baftas last week. As I stood on stage at the Royal Opera House, I felt overwhelmed – in front of all these industry people, whom I don't just admire, but who are the foundation of what I want to do. It's hard to explain how it feels being in the same room as Kate Winslet. Perhaps it's similar to how a Twilight fan feels on seeing me in person.

Some people say I'm anti-Hollywood, but I'm really not at all. I just think it's pretty weird to show up at things that you have no reason to go to. To go out just for the sake of it is plain ridiculous.

I've been asked a million times in interviews about being a role model. I don't really like to consider it. I'm aware that people look up to me, but I am myself for myself and not for anybody else. I choose my work impulsively.

I've been walking around London in a hoody these last few days looking at all the old buildings. It's all fine until a diehard fan notices your sneakers. But I can always see a crowd and turn around and walk the other way.

In terms of history, we have nothing in LA. Here you can feel Jack the Ripper lurking around every corner. It's nicer here because there's a sense that I'm a real person. Perhaps I'm more of a novelty. In LA I tend to get people who gawk at me like I'm an animal, take pictures and scream things at me. There's no way of being open in public anymore. There's a five-minute exchange every 30 seconds that prevents me from even buying a loaf of bread at the grocery store.

I enjoyed her honesty in this interview! I can't imagine what it would be like to be her & try and do everyday things...

Michael Sheen Interviews Ashley Greene for Interview Magazine!

Michael Sheen caught up with Ashley Greene & did a witty little interview with her for Interview Magazine! I picked my favorite part:

SHEEN: So obviously you’ve developed an interest in fashion since the last time I saw you.

GREENE: You’re a jerk.

SHEEN: [laughs] Don’t say that. I’m the interviewer, and you can’t call the person who’s interviewing you a jerk. That’s the reason why I agreed to do this: I can do whatever I want. So tell me about fashion. Do you feel pressure every time you go out because you know that there’s a high chance that someone’s going to take a picture of you walking down the street? Do you feel a pressure to not dress in jean shorts and flip-flops?

GREENE: There was a moment in time where I was kind of having this mini-breakdown because it was all very new, and it was all being thrown at me really quickly, and I was going, “Why are people reporting on this? Why do people care what I’m wearing or what I’m eating, and why are people looking down on me because I’m not wearing high heels?” That’s the downside to being in the public eye. When girls come up and say, “You’re my role model,” it’s really flattering, but it’s also really scary because I’m not perfect and I’m going to make mistakes. I’ve just decided that I have to continue to live my life and do what I do. Hopefully, people love me because of who I am, not who I pretend to be.

SHEEN: Is it true that you always ask for a male body double because you have both sets of sexual organs?

GREENE: I might ask for a male body double because I have broad shoulders, but definitely not because I have two sets of organs, no.

SHEEN: Is it true that your Twitter name is HotForRob23?

GREENE: That’s absolutely not true.

SHEEN: Okay, last question: In exactly 10 years’ time, what would you like to be doing?

GREENE: I’ll be 32. Maybe having a baby?

SHEEN: You’d like to be in hideous pain on this day in 10 years’ time?

GREENE: I have a high tolerance for pain. No, I think something along the lines of doing a really incredible, inspiring film with a strong female character. I think when I’m around 32, I’ll be up for things like that.

SHEEN: What are a couple of female performances in films that you watched that have inspired you?

GREENE: Charlize Theron in Monster [2003]. She’s one of the most incredibly beautiful people alive, and when I was watching that movie, she scared the shit out of me. I thought she did a fantastic job.

SHEEN: I watched 500 Days of Summer [2009] the other day. I thought Zooey Deschanel was fantastic.

GREENE: She’s the queen of indies. And, Joseph Gordon-Levitt transitioned really well, too.

SHEEN: You make it sound like he’s an alien. “He transitions.”

GREENE: No, I’m just saying that I might have a mini-crush on him. That’s all I’m saying.

SHEEN: Well, this is an interview, not a dating agency. I’m not here to hook you up. But, on that note, I think we’ve taken up enough of your time. You can get back to your much more important life that you’ve got going on in the background.

GREENE: Like eating dinner.

SHEEN: By the way, you got the answer to the 10 years’ time question wrong. The correct answer is: working with me.

GREENE: Oh, of course. Doing a fantastic film with Michael Sheen. Where he plays an elf.

I think Michael Sheen is so funny! So I picked this part of the interview to post, but you can read the whole thing over at Interview Magazine.

Peter Facinelli Talks About His Family, 'Eclipse' & 'Breaking Dawn'!

iVillage interviewed my favorite "Doctor" Peter Facinelli recently & he chatted about his family, New Moon, Eclipse & more. Here is an excerpt from the interview:

"I told my wife [Beverly Hills 90210 alum Jennie Garth] the only gift I want is to be able to be with my family," Peter Facinelli recently told iVillage while filming Nurse Jackie (the Showtime drama starring Edie Falco) in New York. "I wrap up the second season today, and I head home tomorrow. I'm looking forward to a break and just spending some time with my family."

It's no surprise that the dad of three looks forward to a little downtime with his loved ones in their L.A. home. In addition to his role as Dr. Fitch Cooper on Nurse Jackie, Facinelli also plays vampire Carlisle Cullen in the blockbuster Twilight films. Anticipating his holiday break, the 36-year-old took a moment to chat about a beloved Christmas tradition, New Moon fan requests and why he's in favor of a fifth Twilight movie.

What vampire superpower do you wish you had in real life?
I'd love to be able to fly -- that would be cool. But I don't know if that's a vampire power. I mean, Carlisle's power is compassion, and I think I got the short end of the stick. I was like, "Can't I be compassionate and fly?" You can't really [be] like, "Stand back! I'm going to smite you with my compassion!"

You and your wife are both famous actors. Is it hard to stay grounded in family life when you're a part of the Hollywood scene?
No, because my wife comes from Illinois and I come from New York, and at the end of the day what we do is a job and not who we are as a people. I'm an actor, not a celebrity. I never walk around thinking I'm a celebrity. So, in that sense, we really do live a grounded lifestyle. And I wouldn't want it any other way for my kids.

Do you have any plans for the holidays?
I'm going to take the kids skiing.

How about any holiday traditions?
We have a little village set that we put underneath the Christmas tree, and this year the kids got to build it themselves because I was out of town. Usually I help, but this year they kind of surprised me and did the whole village under the tree. It was kind of fun to come home and see that they had done it by themselves.

There's been talk about the last Twilight book, Breaking Dawn, being split into two separate films. Can you confirm the rumors?
I don't know. I know there are rumors. I'm in support of it. It's a very thick book and there's a lot going on. To scale it down to one, we would miss a lot of stuff. So, if I had a say, I would love for it to be two. That said, I haven't heard anything about it, nor has Breaking Dawn been confirmed at all. So I think we're all just waiting to hear what someone decides to do.

So you're not itching for it to be over?
No, I'm a big fan of the books. So for me, it's fun to be able to revisit Carlisle and I'm quite saddened that there's only one more book to do. It would be great if it was broken into two.

What can fans expect from the next film, Eclipse?
Every one of these has had a different director [David Slade directs The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, opening in June] so the feel's been a little bit different. Each one of the books progressively has more action. New Moon has some really cool action with the werewolves and the Volturi and it builds from there into the third one where the Cullens get to do some really great action stuff. And that's fun for me, because as a Cullen we're very reserved and always trying to fit in and look humanlike. But in Eclipse, you get to see what we're capable of as vampires.

Who would win in a fight between Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson?
In real life? Well I'd have to go Taylor all the way on that one, just because he's been taking karate since he was in his mother's womb. And I've seen him do some back flips and some high kicks. I think that Taylor would win the fight between him and me, too.

Alright, give us the scoop. Are Rob and Kristen Stewart dating?
You know, I don't know who my costars are dating, and I don’t ask. I mean, I don't know who Edie Falco is dating either.

Do you get tired of people asking you that?
Yeah, I get tired of people asking me who Edie Falco is dating all the time!

Ahhh PFach...you are too funny! I heart him...I really do!

Bryce Dallas Howard: 'Eclipse' Finale "Extraordinary"

"There's quite an extraordinary finale," Howard told MTV News of the scene that took weeks of intense fight training to prepare for. "That was very fun to do."

Those well-versed in Stephenie Meyer's fantastical world of vampires and werewolves know that the third "Twilight" installment focuses heavily on elements of love and war. In addition to the love triangle involving Edward, Bella and Jacob, "Eclipse" follows the actions of vampire Victoria, who creates an army of newborn bloodsuckers to avenge the death of her mate James in "Twilight."

Howard was careful not to reveal any details about the pivotal scene, but she did concede that the battle will likely trump the ballet-studio fight in "Twilight" and the Volturi rumble in "New Moon."

"The producers were saying it's the biggest spectacle filmed thus far in this franchise," she said. "There's a newborn army that's been raised for battle. It's a true battle scene."

I think it is an understatement on my part by saying I Can't Wait to see Eclipse!
